Gastroenterology and Digestive Health
We offer all services required to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, pancreas, liver, bile ducts and gallbladder. Endoscopy is a commonly performed procedure done under sedation which allows us to visualize, and treat various gastrointestinal abnormalities. Endoscopy is an invaluable tool when performed by specifically trained physicians, and frequently eliminates the need for more invasive procedures such as surgery in many patients. All of our physicians have had extensive training in these procedures, and we peform more than 11,000 procedures annually.

If your physician feels that an endoscopic procedure is required for diagnosis or treatment of your condition, a review of the potential benefits, risks and alternatives will be discussed with you. After an endoscopic test, your doctor will review the findings with you to discuss the results and, if necessary, the course of treatment.

Hospitalist Services Hospitalists are physicians whose primary focus is general medical care of the hospitalized patient. We are freed of many of the constraints that an active outpatient doctor faces, therefore able to dedicate our time and energy to provide comprehensive and efficient inpatient medical care. We provide 24 hour in-hospital care and can respond to out patients and their families promptly. We are familiar with key hospital personnel and can anticipate and facilitate care from admission through discharge; including interfacing with the ER, subspecialty and surgical consultants, discharge planners, social workers, clergy and our ancillary services. We are able to facilitate and improve post-acute care needs for the patient through direct communication with primary care providers as well as coordinating the appropriate post-discharge care services such as home health, specialized rehabilitation, and home IV infusion services.
